ARTIS is part of the European jaguar breeding program. Since 2013, ARTIS has also supported the reintroduction project for the jaguar in Iberá, in the north of Argentina. Bringing back the jaguar is important, because as a top predator the animal is an indispensable link in the ecological balance.
